A unique new global community

It is my pleasure to announce the successful completion of the AVEVA World Summits for 2011. Rooted in the legacy of our ISEIT and AMUM conferences, this was the second year for the new AVEVA World Summits with hundreds of our customers joining the AVEVA staff and guest speakers to share experiences, develop new contacts and meet old friends.

Copenhagen, Rio de Janeiro and Singapore were the three exciting venues selected for 2011 and proved a tremendous success, with a focus on business and project strategy topics for mid-level and senior management, the new AVEVA World Summits complement AVEVA’s popular User Group meetings that address more technical product subjects for engineers and operators.

With a Summit theme of Joined up thinking, we worked with our customers and partners to deliver strategies and solutions that join together technical and business requirements to provide a more complete and informed perspective on the challenges that face us all. Accurate and timely information enables better decisions, which translate directly into reduced risk, time and cost.

The concept of Joined up thinking is fundamental to the innovation that drives AVEVA, and this year’s theme captured our collective ambition to create safer, more efficient projects and operations. We provided an agenda where more than 50% of the presentations were delivered by customers, something delegates had requested.

The AVEVA World Summits are just one activity within the larger AVEVA World Community, and we will be building on the success of the Summits with additional programs in 2012.
